Anita Pacheco taught in the Department of English at the Open University. She has written numerous articles on Behn, with a particular focus on the role of Tory politics and freethinking in her work. She is the editor of A Companion to Early Modern Women’s Writing (Blackwell, 2002) and, with John Stachniewski, of Bunyan’s Grace Abounding with Other Spiritual Autobiographies (Oxford World’s Classics, 1998). She has also written a volume on Shakespeare’s Coriolanus in the Writers and their Works series (Northcote House, 2007).
