Leah Orr is Associate Professor of English at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, where she is the current holder of the Joseph P. Montiel and Board of Regents Professorship in English. She is the author of Novel Ventures: Fiction and Print Culture in England, 1690-1730 (University of Virginia Press, 2017) and Publishing the Woman Writer in England, 1670-1750 (Oxford University Press, 2023). She has also published articles on women writers, book history, reception studies, and the novel in the long eighteenth century. Her research examines the intersection between literature and history, particularly the ways that print and material contexts of book production influence what readers read and how they read it.
