Wim Van Mierlo is Lecturer in Publishing and English at Loughborough University and co-leader of the DH@Lboro research group. An expert on literary archives, genetic criticism and textual scholarship, he has edited Where There is Nothing and the Unicorn from the Stars: Manuscript Materials for the Cornell Yeats Series, as well as essay collections on the work of James Joyce, on Reading Notes, and on Textual Scholarship and the Material Book. His most recent article, ‘James Joyce and the Middlebrow’, appeared in Quashed Quotatoes: Joycean Exogenesis in the Digital Age, a volume of European Joyce Studies edited by Ronan Crowley and Dirk Van Hulle (2006). He is President of the European Society for Textual Scholarship, and Editor of the Society’s journal, Variants. In 2014-15, he co-ordinated the AHRC-funded ‘WISE: What Is Scholarly Editing?’ programme.
